For the aspiring backyard gardeners looking to up their game and grow a wide array of plants, this book offers a doable, step-by-step guide into turning a yard into a homestead over the course of several years.

It will cover growing vegetables, fruits, chickens, medicinal herbs, and pollinator plants. To many, managing the production of many different staples can be overwhelming and thus intimidating. The goal of this book is to implement a plan to be followed and adapted over the course of several years, increasing the intensity and complexity of production every year.

The book starts with the simpler task of starting with raised bed gardens to grow veggies, eventually fruit trees and berry bushes, eventually chickens, and onward. The guide will also explain crop storage and preservation and will do all this with steps accompanied by photographs to facilitate the process — for the beginner looking to produce their own food.
